Self-Care Sunday: Routine

Since self-care is so important to me and I want to encourage this habit for others. I feel the best way to do so is to share my routine.

Note that I understand that we are busy and there are tons to do, but if you don’t take care of yourself, then how can you complete any other task.

First, carve out a day and some time to take care of yourself. For me it is Sundays, hence self-care Sunday.

Second, make a list of what you want to do for yourself. My list looks something like this:

  1. Haircare
  2. Skincare
  3. Body Care
  4. Mental health

For my mental health routine, I choose to do yoga, meditation, art or reading my bible and books. Even typing this blog is a form of mental care for me because it allows for release.

Next, its haircare because my hair takes hours to dry and I like taking my time to wash, detangle and style it in a wash n go.

From that point, I move on to body care. This includes showering, shaving, body scrubs and nail care.

Once I am through with my self-care routine I then tackle meal prep and relax with any of the mental care activities that I feel like doing.
